On Wednesday, December 2 I was invited by my journalism teacher Mr. Cullinane to a Final Loyola class to see some film presentations by grad students. Since I have aspirations of going to Loyola University for journalism, Mr. Cullinane who was a student in the class felt it would be perfect for me to get some real life experiences of college courses.
I felt so honored to be able to sit in a college class, it was educational, inspirational, and quite entertaining. I got to see so many amazing pieces and all so different from each other. There were podcast, picture films, and profile pieces. I loved them all but one that really stuck with me was a CPS Public Service Announcement piece.
Grad student Ashley King created a PSA video to raise awareness of the Chicago Public Schools cuts that have the possibility to affect the arts. The video truly amazed and moved me as a CPS student.
